This is where I'm supposed to tell you a little bit
about the site and myself. I'll start with the obvious. Yeap, you guessed
correctly. I do very much like the color purple. By seeing the little teddy bear
up at the top of all the pages, you probably have figured I must like teddy
bears. You guessed correctly on that, too.
In October of 2003 I made my first site,
Purplebear's Shop N
Earn, which started out fairly small site but somewhere along the way grew quite a bit. Now you can shop for just about anything from there and yes,
you will notice the color purple and lots of cute little teddy bears scattered
throughout the site. I'm not sure if I've succeeded or not, but I've tried to
give both these sites a little bit of personality so my visitors will think of
them as a nice place to come and visit. I think most people are always looking
for sales and ways to save money so I've included coupons, free shipping offers
and sales on both to try to make it more convenient having
everything all in one location..
I've tried to think of a way for you to maybe get to know me a
little better and looking through some family pictures I found a couple that
might do just that. They're a little bit old and probably not the best
photographic examples but each in their own way will tell you some about
me. So, go ahead and take a peek if you'd like.
Here's me with my very first teddy bear. Still have him, too. He's aged quite a
bit and definitely not in the best of shape, but he and I had been together for
quite some time and somehow the thought of throwing him out just didn't seem
like a very nice thing to do. I guess when you think about it, our teddy bears are
probably our very first friends. Not exactly sure why, but they seem to be very
comforting to us when we're little and most times seem to make us not be quite
as scared of things while they're with us.
< ---- Look at them footies.

Here I am again. The color of the dress probably doesn't come as much of a
surprise to you. Just so you get a little better idea, the color was lavender with little daisies and white lace around the collar and
cuffs. There was a matching purple velvet sash tied in a big bow and lots of
very small little purple buttons. It was actually a Simplicity bridal pattern
and my Mom made it.
Growing up I never thought of our family as poor but do know that my Mom
did without quite a few things so her children weren't without some things. When
it came around to prom time buying a prom dress was never considered but I think
the one she made was just as nice as any that would've been bought. I had my own little fashion designer who made it
just the way I wanted. When my boyfriend at the time's little sister said I
looked like a princess....I knew hearing that would make my Mom happy.
So, by
now I'm sure you've realized that, yeap I'm very sentimental and
chose to include this picture because it shows me wearing something purple and is a very nice memory I have of my
Mom. Not sure I believe in angels but if they do exist, I know there's a
little one who'll be smiling. I loved my Mom very much and miss her very much.
I wish she would've been able to see my sites but being
the objective Mom she was when it came to her children, I know she would have loved both of them.
Still not quite sure why this site's named Purplebear's Jewelry? I
wanted to make a small site that had something to do with purple and something everybody would be able to purchase. All
the jewelry is some
shade of purple and the prices vary so everybody is able to afford some
type of the purple jewelry. Somehow, Purplebear's Jewelry just seemed like the right choice for
the name. Hope
you like this site and will come back to visit often. I won't mind if you
tell everybody you know about it and go ahead and take a peek at my
other site, too.
Purplebear's Shop N Earn.
Thank you for visiting and if any of you would like to contact
me, I'd love to hear from you.
